Today we had academic orientation at Lorenzo de' Medici. Allie's alarm didn't go off so we woke up as orientation was starting. We got ready in 5 minutes somehow and ran down. We got a little lost and ended up being about 1/2 hour late but it was a good thing because the whole thing was 31/2 hours long (which is ridiculous) so we didn't miss much. After orientation Allie and I went grocery shopping for the first time at a little market right up the street from our apt. It's called Centro Supermercato and it's like the Florence version of Shaw's or Hannaford's but MUCH smaller. I got salad, fresh salami, prosciutto, olive oil, fresh parmesan, apples, bananas, bread, pb&j, nutella, yogurt, granola cereal and OJ. It's pretty hard t
o find a lot of what you'd normally find in a grocery store, but it's not impossible of you look hard enough. It's just that different things are at different stores so you have to really take time to shop. Once we got back from lugging our groceries home we made dinner. We had pasta, salad and a bottle of chianti (another thing I will really miss.) I'm starting to feel like I live heeerree! After dinner we got ready to go out and again, we went to Twice. We all had a round of shots and then went to VIP with the guys who work there . The bottles we got came out with sparklers going off. Fun night!
